can communicate effectively with a group of native speakers in a business environment or social situation. Grammar and fluency don't affect communication. However, s/he needs to better understand English language usage to reduce communication problems.

能聽懂較有深度的簡報、討論、產品介紹及操作說明等。但無法聽懂各類主題的談話、辯論、演講、報導及節目等,也無法聽懂會議報告及討論內容。 實例:能聽懂布萊德.彼特的演出電影《末日之戰》的宣傳或廣告內容,但因談論主題有所延伸,而無法聽懂他參與各類談話性節目或新聞採訪所談論的內容。

Student understands more advanced English presentations, discussions, product introductions and operational manuals. But s/he cannot understand conversations, debates, speeches reports and programs under various topics. E.g. Student understands the advertisement of Brad Pitt's movie ""World War Z"". But the student cannot understand talk show or interview program Brad Pitt participated.

Speaking

能在會議中發言,並能做簡報。對於各類主題皆能流暢地表達看法、參與討論。但尚未能掌握各國慣用詞語及參與各種會議討論。 實例:能針對歐美電影文化流暢地表達個人分析與見解,但由於不熟悉英美對於shoot、film和movie的用法以及其他各國慣用詞語,而無法參與各種國際性電影論壇或研討會。

Student is able to make English presentations and participate actively in English meetings, as well as express personal opinions and thoughts and discuss them on various issues in fluent English. But s/he is not able to express personal opinions and thoughts and discuss them on various issues in fluent English. E.g. The student is able to analyze European-American movie culture and is also able to express his/her personal opinions. But s/he is not able to participate in international film seminars because s/he is not familiar with the usage of shoot, film and movie or other common word usage in film industry.

Reading

能閱讀較深入的報章雜誌。但無法了解較深入的工作摘要、會議紀錄及報告等。 實例:能閱讀《天下雜誌》中的財經時事或經濟學人中關於全球經濟脈動之文章,但由於不了解工作文件格式及用語,而無法了解較深入之財務報表或財務部門會議記錄等。

The student can read and understand more advanced newspaper or magazine articles, but s/he cannot understand more advanced professional English articles such as meeting documents or reports. E.g. The student understand the current event about finance in Commonwealth Magazine, or global economic trend articles in The Economist. But s/he cannot understand finance report or finance meeting minutes because s/he does not understand business writing format and business vocabulary.
