有達3000字彙量,並可運用這3000字彙與母語人士對談。文法有錯誤但不會影響溝通。

Can hold a conversation with a native speaker using up to 3,000 words in active vocabulary. Grammar doesn't affect communication.


能聽懂母語人士速度較慢的口說,並能談論廣泛的主題。但因字彙量有限,無法討論細節。

Can understand native speakers speaking slowly and can have a conversation on a wide number of topics. Can't discuss in detail because of limited vocabulary.


能了解母語人士的口說,並且可和他們對話。文法不會影響溝通,但有限的字彙量讓特定談論的細節顯得有點吃力、遲鈍。

Can understand and participate in conversations with native speakers. Grammar doesn't affect communication, but limited vocabulary makes detailed discussion difficult.


Listening

能大致聽懂外籍人士正常速度的一般談話及詢問,但無法聽懂較有深度的社交談話。 實例:能大致聽懂影集《Two broke Girls》中正常速度的一般談話,如:「Martha Stewart loves our cupcakes!!」(瑪莎.史都華喜歡我們的杯子蛋糕!!),但由於不了解美國俚語及文化,而無法聽懂較有深度的談話,如:「You've got a dibs.」(你握有籌碼/權利)。

Student understands native speakers' conversations at a normal speed, but s/he cannot understand more advanced social conversations. E.g. Student understand the conversation between the characters in TV series ""Two broke Girls"", e.g. "Martha Stewart loves our cupcakes!!". But the student does not understand American idioms and cultures, s/he cannot understand more advanced conversations like "You've got a dibs".

Speaking

對與個人興趣相關的話題,能流暢地表達意見及看法,但尚未能用流利的英語接待外籍人士。 實例:能針對參與社交活動相關話題流暢地表達意見,但因無法運用接待用語Please have a seat(請坐)或Would you like coffee or tea?(請問要喝咖啡還是茶呢?)而未能接待外籍人士。

The student is able to use English to express personal opinions and thoughts fluently on issues they are interested in. But s/he is not able to receive foreigners to talk about work or business in English. E.g. The student is able to express his/her opinions when participating a social event, but s/he is not able to use business entertainment English such as "Would you like coffee or tea?".

Reading

能了解短文、書信、故事、漫畫、廣告、短劇及簡易新聞報導等的內容或情節。但無法閱讀職場相關之簡易文章。 實例:能了解蘋果新產品的廣告文宣內容,但因不熟悉職場文件的書寫格式與用語,而無法閱讀蘋果公司之工作須知或公告等。

The student understands English stories, comics, commercials, short plays, short writings and letters. But s/he cannot read and understand the article about work and business. E.g. The student understands the new Apple product catalogue, but s/he does not understand the business writing format so s/he cannot totally understand the catalogue, like the terms and conditions section.
