Students is able to discuss the content of an English class in full English and use better English to describe pictures or retell stories. But s/he is not able to use English to introduce foreign customs and cultures or describe their daily routines, jobs, families and backgrounds. E.g. The student can retell the story of Taj Mahal based on his/her travel experiences when s/he is looking at the photo of Taj Mahal. For example, "The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum built in Agra, India. Emperor Shah Jahan built it in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died giving birth to their fourteenth child." Due to the lacking of vocabulary, the student is not able to talk about his/her personal feeling and the things happened when s/he visited Taj Mahal.
"Student can guess the meaning of a paragraph by reading through the previous or next paragraph or the pictures provided, and s/he is able to read simple English writings in different topics or forms. But s/he is still not familiar with various English reading skills and can do extensive reading. E.g. The student is able to guess a famous tourist attraction, where it located, and transportation by looking at a picture. But the
Student can write a complete story containing several paragraph in English based on the instructions given, but with poor fluency. Students are also unable to write articles such as story feedbacks. E.g. Students can write down the characteristics of all characters in a movie, but they cannot write a proper movie feedback or review.
